The Revolution That Won't be Televised

The Revolution That Won’t be Televised

By Isaiah L. Carter

September 19, 2006. This day, about 30 or so men and women packed into a small room in an up-and-coming restaurant in the Fells Point area of Baltimore City. These people met for one specific purpose: To discuss the state of Black Politics in Maryland, and in the country that we live. Among the people who attended this event were business entities, radio personalities, and a car salesman. Also among the attendees was the Lieutenant Governor of the state of Maryland, Michael S. Steele.

Democrats, be fearful.

In that room, Steele gave us more than any other politician has ever given… he gave us himself, no strings attached, no hype, no cameras. We got Michael Steele, and nothing else. He showed us that he is a true man of the community, one who is not afraid of standing up to for what he knows is right. He was endorsed and promoted by those who have watched him and seen the work that he has done, and what he is capable of doing. He showed himself and proved to be a man who knows where he came from, what he wants to do for his community, and where he is going. He gave us a message that was better than any other Republican (and definitely better than any Democrat) has given us.

Democrats, be very fearful.

As he sat in that room, this state’s LG was grilled like a fine piece of USDA Prime, by both Democrats and Republicans. And as we sat in this room, I bore witness to the lines that have polarized our parties for decades slowly being blurred. I watched as the LG answered the questions posed to him directly, showing passion and fervor with every sentence. And the result of all of this was Black Americans of all stripes coming together as one unit, crossing over the forbidden boundaries that have divided and conquered us for well over 50 years.

Scared yet, Dems?

The real stars, however, were the people who came out to this gathering: Black Americans of all stripes who were in touch with their community and with the politics of this state. For some, the question was raised as to why Black people have been voting Democrat for all these years. One reason that was brought up was the addiction to instant gratification that we have had as a people: government handouts, certain programs that are here today and gone tomorrow, or certain social programs that only go but so far to help the community, but either don’t go far enough or don’t provide lasting solutions. The point that Steele made was that Black people nowadays are gravitating more to the Republican side because we are sick of either being thrown fish and eating for a day, or being promised bread and handed stones. What Black people want now is to be taught to fish, to own the fishing companies! Our race does not want to be promised bread any longer; we want to own the bakeries! And the Democratic Party has kept us underneath their thumb for so long, kept us dependent on them for our needs such that we think we cannot exist without their “leadership.”

Truth be told, I was afraid last night. I thought that someone was going to bring a pack of Oreo cookies or something else equally offensive and make fun of the LG because of his Republican affiliation. To my great relief, and to my surprise, this was not the case at all. I thanked God above for His grace to allow me to see this glorious event, to see Black people unite under the common cause of voting our interests and our beliefs, something that the Left is praying we don’t do. As Black Americans, we must learn from this event. We must remember the things that we gleaned from that night, and put them into practice, spreading the word abroad that the message does not have to have a (D) on the package to be valid. Let us look to be community-minded in this endeavor, and let us demonstrate what we have learned by voting for Michael Steele to represent us in the Senate.

Dementia Defined...

Dementia Defined
By Isaiah L. Carter

On September 15, 2005, I witnessed something that I had always known about,
but never really saw firsthand. The only time I had actually seen or heard of
this condition is when a lunatic would call in to some conservative talk show,
or when a representative of a fringe liberal group would appear on a forum
show like Hannity and Colmes or The O?Reilly Factor. This condition was
introduced by Charles Krauthammer, one of the great thinkers of our time.

This condition is known as Bush Derangement Syndrome.

And yes, it is real.

That night, two women were sitting in the waiting room of my
store, when more of the same stories coming from New Orleans in the wake of
Katrina were on CNN. Out of these two ladies, one of them, a well-dressed,
middle-aged woman, was spouting off about how, in her opinion, everyone was trying to ?
protect Georgie,? referring to the President. She then proceeded to repeat the
same talking points that must have come out that morning, as she beat the
already tired drum that George W. Bush was to blame for everything that went
wrong down in that part of the country.

Getting fed up with hearing this nonsense, I asked her, ?How in
the world did a local matter become a federal one? What about the massive
failures of the local and state governments in this matter? What is this, the next
attempt by you all to get him out of office prematurely?? The only thing that
she could say, with extreme vehemence, was the usual that I have come to
expect out of liberals, especially Black liberals: ?Well, Bush is stupid. He?s an
idiot. I wonder how all those people in New Orleans feel about the President
now!?

As she continued to speak, I noticed her tone of voice. She was
practically screaming, and even her friend, who really had not said anything,
had to tell her that she was being too loud. She then went off about the 2000
elections, how the Supreme Court, as she said, gave the election to the current
President, and how Bill Clinton was the absolute greatest president we ever
had. This was stuff that I have come to expect out of liberals.

When my friend and colleague Bob came in, he began to talk to
these ladies (if that?s a proper term for them). Bob, who is white, was assaulted
by this woman racially by accusing him of trying to protect his ?boy,? the
president, even in the face of evidences given to her by Bob to show the
happenings of New Orleans was purely on the backs of Ray Nagin, Governor Blanko, and
the snake of a senator who tried to get out of town, William Jefferson. When
she went off about how god-like Bill Clinton was in his time in office, Bob
went to explain that he spent 24 years in the Navy, and could tell you about how
terrible Clinton was as a commander-in chief, and surprisingly, even admitted
how vitriolic and angry he was at him, needlessly.

I have come to expect all this out of liberals. Everything, from
the hatred of Bush, the worship of Clinton, to the shunning of truth and
facts, are all hallmarks of the Democratic party. This is what they have become, as
a result of gradually losing 50 years of control, falling more and more out
of touch with the rest of America, and being taught by the Clinton school of
democracy to believe that they (that is, liberals) are the elites of this
country; a small minority who, by right of their educations, current statuses in
life, and their own moral relativism that they are the only ones that are fit to
properly run this country. I?ve come to expect all that. But nothing could
have prepared me for what happened next.

I told this woman that liberals are a defeated enemy, and that
what they thought was slowly becoming irrelevant in this country. I told her
that everything that the Left was trying to do (oh, I forgot to mention? she
cringed every time I called her what she was: a liberal) was failing fast, and
that this latest attempt to get people ginned up on hatred and division was going
to fail like it did in 2004. She jumped out of her chair, and said that she
was going to get me fired, saying she was going to see what I thought after I
got my last paycheck. I left out, but looked back into the room. She then
started dancing in the waiting room, as if she had just won a major sporting event.
She continued to act the fool, trying to find someone to get me fired. She
never did.

Charles Krauthammer, truer words were never spoken than yours,
when explaining what Bush Derangement Syndrome is. This has gone from near
pathological to dementia to full-on psychotic. This is a real disease, folks.
Normal-appearing people (you can?t be liberal and normal) reacting in the most
violent of manners to the policies, presidency, even the very existence of our
current President (I paraphrased the exact quote).

My call-out today goes out to the Black American liberals out
there.

How does it feel, knowing that your government, your
oh-so-precious Democratic society, failed miserably? How does it feel to know that the
liberal utopia that New Orleans was supposed to be (almost 80% Black, people
everywhere on some type of welfare or other government dependency programs) is
buried under water? The very monsters that you created (you know, the ones
chanting ?Help us! Help us!? in front of the Silverdome, right) have been rendered
to nothingness. These people, who were bussed out to the polls when it was
time to put their sorry rear ends back into office for another term, were ignored
by the mayor and governor when Katrina was on her way in.

I'm A Victim!!!

I’m A Victim!!!

By Isaiah L. Carter

One year after the most devastating natural disaster in American history, people are still victims. It is simply amazing to watch an entire city (and for that matter, a whole state) simply waste away. While Mississippi has shocked the rest of the country with their solid and simply amazing recovery and rebuilding, the city of New Orleans, once one of the most exciting and history-rich cities in the South, has now been reduced to a near ghost-town.

What is more frustrating than the nine-percent drop in non-farm employment, the refusal of many of the “climate refugees” (read: welfare leeches) displaced by the storm to return to their homeland, or the ruins of whole neighborhoods still standing neither touched nor repaired, is the rampant “victicrat” mentality (peace to Larry Elder for that wonderful word) that has engulfed the entire legislature of the state of Louisiana. A year after they accused FEMA and the Bush administration for not responding to Katrina sooner, they not only continue to attack the President, but they have managed to politicize an act of God by calling the response effort racist in one breath, and in the other breath demanding more government money and more government aid.

Remember the school bus incident down there? Remember how Ray Nagin wanted Greyhound bus drivers to drive those people out of there, and since he couldn’t get them, those buses sat where they were and were destroyed in the floods? How is this fool allowed to remain in public service and play the victim’s game? How is Mary Landrieu allowed to keep her job after threatening to assault the president, then demanding billions in federal aid? Moreover, how can this incompetence continue while a world-famous city lies in ruins?

What is being witnessed are the results of what can happen when an entire state is run by a party with no plan of action, no desire to see change, and the desire to make thousands of people suffer just for perceived political gain. The milking of Hurricane Katrina by Nagin, Landrieu, and Blanco are simply pathetic and beyond the pale. And the desire to continue to paint the picture of New Orleans as a victim of the big bad Bush administration is just awful. The lack of self-motivation, drive, and energy to get New Orleans back in livable condition (if it will ever be that way again) is obvious. And it starts with Mayor Ray Nagin.

I am going on record right now with this statement: Ray Nagin, you are a pathetic excuse for a public servant. How anyone left in that failed city could actually vote you back in office is an absolute shock. How dare you hold fast to your status quo and paint yourself as a victim? As a Black man, you are an embarrassment to your race and people. You are the embodiment of what our fathers and forefathers fought and died to get away from… the stereotype of being a lazy, good-for-nothing, foot shuffling Uncle Tom for the Democratic Party. You are an incompetent, ill-equipped failure of a man, who may have garnered some favor had you not sat on your political high-horse and acted like the country owes you anything. You bad-mouth the President, FEMA, and anything else Republican, let your area of responsibility rot, and have the nerve to compare the delay of repairs in your city to the World Trade Center attacks of 9/11? What kind of human being are you?

This, America, is how not to run a city. This is an object lesson on how the Democratic Party fails blacks every day in this country. What’s so funny is that it wasn’t even a white man who screwed up down there. It was a black man, or as Democrats like to call us Black conservatives, someone who looked like a black man who did not have our best interests at heart.

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” No, Kanye, Ray Nagin doesn’t care about black people. Happy anniversary, New Orleans.

Senator Lieberman's Reality Check

Senator Lieberman’s Reality Check

By Isaiah L. Carter

Joe Lieberman now knows who his real friends are.

Maybe the last sane Democrat left in public office nowadays, especially after the retirement of Zell Miller sometime ago, Sen. Lieberman was ousted from his seat after a stay of 3 terms earlier this week. He lost his seat in the Connecticut Democratic primary to Ned Lamont; someone who, honestly, better fit the mold and direction that the Democratic party as a whole is going.

And boy, is he feeling it.

After Mr. Lieberman washes himself from the tire marks and exhaust smoke from having the proverbial bus rolled over him, he will realize that the extreme (read: new mainstream) Left has no room for him. The Jezebel of the modern world herself, Hillary Clinton, abandoned him. The ravenous Dogs of the Left, controlled by the likes of Howard Dean, Ralph Neas, Markos Moulitsas, and George Soros, all brutalized this man’s political career, even after his many years of service. He even pretended to go along with their madness in 2000, agreeing to being second fiddle to the Clinton’s protégé, Al Gore. One is left to wonder: Why? Why now? People he once called friends now run from him and brutalize him as if he were a mortal enemy. On top of all of this, Chris Matthews on Hardball allowed a shameful display of anti-Semitism to pour from his lips, referring to Lieberman as the Jewish equivalent of an Uncle Tom. What would make an overabundance of usual foolishness come onto this man?

Difference of opinion… That is what cost this man his seat in the Senate.

Senator Lieberman has been an unwavering supporter of our presence and action in the war on terror, which is against everything that the Left stands for. The liberal machine, for the past 5 years, has demanded 3 things above all else: blind, unwavering loyalty, even as all the Democratic party is led into madness; secondly, an unreasonable, irrational, psychotic hatred of our current President; and finally, the unflinching, unrealistic, cowardly, and lazy desire to get our troops out of Iraq immediately, to avoid the necessary confrontation that was foisted on us five years ago (a call back to their heydays in the ‘60s and ‘70s… remember Vietnam?). Lieberman did not fit that bill… and paid for it with his seat in the Senate.

The man they seek to replace him with? Ned Lamont, a multi-millionaire tycoon who is nothing more than a typical, cookie cutter liberal. Don’t believe me? Go to his website, and read his views on healthcare, the war, and education. They are the same old messages on the same old issues. Free healthcare for all, bring our troops home, and teach our kids anything but reading, writing, and math. That’s what you replaced Lieberman with? The same regurgitated message in a new, money-green package? Who are they kidding?

Bottom line is this… America is changing, and has changed in ways not always noted. The American public has seen the extent to the Democratic Party will go when it has no power. And they know what can happen once they get it back. The attitudes of the American public as a whole is becoming much more sensible, and the more instances that liberalism is exposed as a failure and a counterproductive system, the better off this country will be, and liberalism will be pushed even further off the cliff of societal relevance.

So, Senator Lieberman, take comfort. The Democratic Party is not what it once was, and you can ask Zell Miller on that one. This political party is being brought to the brink of socialism, and they are attempting to take out everyone who does not go along with them. This is a heartless, cruel enemy who will treat their own people worse when they stray. You, sir, are wise to break from them. May God be with you and bless you in your new race. And may God continue to defeat the already defeated enemy, who is the Democratic Party.
